I’ve gone through the Workbook in A Course in Miracles a few times, but now just randomly turn to a page for my morning meditation. Sometimes I skip it altogether because I misjudge the value of these few minutes a day. The ego tells me I’m too busy, that the world won’t wait for me if I disengage for a few minutes. This morning, however, I found the most beautiful passage about why we practice these sacred words:
We use the words, and try and try again to go beyond their sound. The sound grows dim and disappears, as we approach the Source of meaning. It is Here that we find rest.
